The special feature of the new MC6025 variety is the embedded technology „2 в 1„. This includes two types of CVD coating, enabling us to provide high performance machining to fully meet the demands of modern manufacturing.

The ultra-smooth polished surface layer is a CVD nano-textured TiCN coating that is fine and uniform, thanks to the use of a process called CRYSTAL GROWTH CONTROL TECHNOLOGY. In addition, this technology allows a much more uniform application of the Al2O3 layer, which offers much higher wear and fracture resistance, thus ensuring extended tool life at high cutting speeds, when machining ISO grade P20 steel.

The side surfaces have a black super-uniform coating, imparting exceptional smoothness to the machined surface, as well as slowing wear during operation due to reduced friction, it also helps achieve higher dimensional accuracy of the finished component.
In addition, the reduced friction prevents unusual damage such as material sticking and allows stable machining over an extended period of time.

Carbide base is tailored to work in tandem with the coating to provide the best combination. The substrate has an ideal internal composition and distributed stiffness and strength that offer exceptional resistance to plastic deformation closer to the surface layer, but also provide the overall strength needed to prevent the plate from breaking under heavy loads.

The available chipbreaking geometries are easy to identify, LP for „Light“ cutting with lower load, MP for Medium and the new addition - RP for rough cutting.

The new RP chip-breaking geometry is ideal for heavier cutting and features a highly fracture-resistant edge, while the bevelled cutting face prevents material sticking.

The perfect synergy! The combination of the Carbide substrate and the specially developed coating layers, together with the optimal choice of chipbreaking geometry... allows the MC6025 to be the first choice for machining ISO grade P20 steel for high-speed performance with cutting speeds up to 300 m/min on mild, carbon and alloy steels. The new grade MC6025 is available in a wide range of negative geometries from CNMG to WNMG, with series including 5°, 7° and 11° positive geometries.
