The new addition to Mitsubishi Materials' IMPACT MIRACLE class of pallet milling cutters is the VFMHV. The use of asymmetrically arranged feathers in combination with a variable helix angle, significantly reduces the frequency of vibrations and results in improved machined surface quality.
The VFMHV series of pallet milling cutters uses a new feather geometry improving chip removal. Considering the advantages listed above and the incredible IMPACT MIRACLE coating, the VFMHV palm milling cutters can be effectively used for difficult to machine materials and applied where long tool lengths are required.
The asymmetrical feathers and the variable helix angle prevent vibrations in places where this was previously impossible, for example when machining workpieces with thin walls or at the bottom of deep holes.
The efficient chip evacuation, thanks to the feather geometry, makes it possible to apply the VFMHV cutters in significantly severe cutting regimes. The high hardness IMPACT MIRACLE coating offers the high heat resistance required when cutting full diameter grooves. Improved oxidation resistance and low coefficient of friction make it possible to achieve high accuracy and quality of the machined surface under high cutting regimes.
The series is available in 12 different sizes: from ø6~ø20 mm. Large lengths and size ø13 with ø12 shank diameter are also available.
