SMART MIRACLE - Coating
The latest development of the original and highly successful MIRACLE coating is called SMART MIRACLE. This group of thumb cutters use the newly developed (Al, Cr)N coating which provides significantly better wear resistance. The coating has a smoother surface thanks to better machining of the body, resulting in high cutting resistance and improved chip evacuation. This is the next generation of high-end thumb cutters that offer long tool life and are the first choice when machining stainless steels, titanium alloys, Inconel and other difficult to machine materials. With ZERO-µ Surface, the cutting edge remains sharp. While previous technologies often resulted in easier dulling, the ZERO-µ Surface keeps the cutting edge smooth and sharp, as well as contributing to longer tool life.
The shape of the frontal feather release has been improved to avoid stress concentration, thus improving fracture resistance.
