The tangential attachment of the inserts allows the cutting forces to be absorbed by the entire length of the insert. This absorption of cutting forces has several advantages in terms of improved efficiency and flexibility. We are able to increase the maximum depth of cut significantly compared to conventional cutters. Relatively large cutting depths can also be achieved with standard methods, but this usually results in process instability caused by vibration and lack of stability, but this compromises both the quality of the final component and the life of the inserts.

Field test
In this example, it can be seen that the extra depth of cut is useful for the customer when machining cast iron (GG40), as the usual depth of cut of 5 mm is doubled to 10 mm at a cutting speed of 230 m/min and a feed rate of 2050 mm/min. In addition to the efficiency due to the greater stability, the new SONX insert type, features 8 cutting edges... compared to the usual 4 on tangentially set inserts. The economic benefit of doubling the number of usable cutting edges is obvious, as is the significant reduction in machining time.

Gripping system
Clamping the plate is easy - it is done with just one screw. The extremely smooth surface provided by the use of the special „Black super smooth coating“ technology and the newly developed variety MC5020 with CVD coating, helps to prevent problems with material sticking/welding on the cutting edge, typical in cast iron machining.
CONTACT
+359 66 80 03 49office@timextools.com

[10

post-1287","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-timex-tools
["GET
