MICRO-MINI TWIN is a series of high-precision internal turning tools developed by  MITSUBISHI MATERIALS CORPORATION , designed for machining small parts.

These tools are ideal for small diameters and offer versatility in various operations such as boring, slotting and threading.

Wide range of application

MICRO-MINI TWIN offers a variety of applications.

Scraping: Minimum machining diameter of φ2.2 mm with tip radii (RE) of 0.05, 0.1, 0.15 and 0.2 mm.

SlashMinimum machining diameter of φ3 mm.

Thread cutting: Minimum machining diameter of φ3 mm.

Click to copy (reproduction of a complex profile or contour on the workpiece) : Minimum machining diameter of φ3.5 mm.

 

Options with and without chipping

The tools are available in two versions.

With chipbreaker: with a large width that helps reduce cutting resistance.

Chip-free: the polished surface of the tilt prevents chips from sticking.

The polished surface of the bevel prevents chips from sticking and ensures excellent surface quality, especially when machining stainless steel.

Special bushings for Swiss lathes„

For optimum use of the MICRO-MINI TWIN on Swiss lathes, special bushings with the following characteristics have been developed.

The total length for each machine is optimized, eliminating the need for additional adjustments.

Intermediate diameters such as 2.5 mm, 3.5 mm and 4.5 mm have been added to allow the fitting of various small boring bars.

Four clamping slots that allow lateral fixation.
