SPECIALIZED CARBIDE SUBSTRATE

NEW COATING TECHNOLOGY FOR TURNING STAINLESS STEEL

Mitsubishi Materials has developed three new types of inserts designed for machining stainless steel. MC7115 for light cutting, MC7125 for general machining and MP7135 for heavy-duty applications.

Features:

High resistance to breakage and abrasion;

Improved coating adhesion with Super-Tough-Grip technology;

Improved crystal growth coating process with Super-Nano-Texture technology;

High resistance to flaking;

Outer layer with gold coating for easy edge recognition

The universal choice for turning stainless steel MC7125

Product: new alloy CVD coated M20 stainless steel grade  MC7125

Features: Universal choice for turning stainless steel. Outer layer with gold coating for easy edge recognition.

Extremely stable with resistance to both plastic deformation and breakage.

Advantage: First recommended class. Compatible with a wide range of applications, from continuous cutting to intermittent cutting. Suitable for a wide variety of stainless steels.

Polza: longer and stable tool life. Reliable production process. Higher productivity. Lower cost per part. Easy wear recognition.

Application example: Nut SUS316 / Internally turnedе

    For high-speed turning MC7115

    Product: new alloy CVD coated M10 stainless steel grade MC7115

    Characteristics: For high-speed turning

    Increases the hardness of the base material, providing excellent resistance to plastic deformation and crater wear (typical wear that occurs on the cutting edge of the tool - most often on its upper surface - where the chip slides on the tool during cutting).

    Advantage: For medium to large austenitic stainless parts, cutting speeds of 250 m/min or more to reduce machining time

    ✅ Polza : longer and stable tool life Reliable manufacturing process Higher productivity Lower cost per part Easy wear detection

    New stronger alloy for discontinuous cutting MP7135

    ✅ Features: Robust alloy for rough interrupted cutting

    AdvantageA: The PVD carbide coating is resistant to impact from interrupted cutting. Ideal alloy for interrupted cutting workpieces as well as roughing for forged and cast products.

    The high heat resistant coating and the special carbide substrate provide both abrasion and scratch resistance.

    ✅ Polza : longer and stable tool life; reliable production process; higher productivity; lower cost per part; easy wear recognition

    Application example Impeller (blade) SUS316L / Face Turning

    Tool life is improved even on workpieces with severe interrupted cutting.
