MP3025 is Mitsubishi Materials' latest PVD metal ceramic coating for steel turning, manufactured using the latest coating technologies.

The smooth surface under the coating provides excellent adhesion strength to the coating itself and therefore improves the life of the plate by preventing premature wear. In addition, the undercoat has better impact and thermal resistance compared to conventional metal-ceramic varieties. The new „LP“ chipbreaker is optimized for finishing steels, it is also highly effective in contour machining operations with small depth of cut.

The combination of „LP“ chipbreaking and the high-tech metal-ceramic coating, provide a better grade of machined surface at low cutting speeds, typical for the center of the machined component, where the cutting speed is reduced.

Also suitable for machines whose spindles are limited in rotational speed for one reason or another.
